Crawley man banned after driving wrong way up ramp

A Crawley driver who drove the wrong up a ramp has been banned from the roads.

Jamie Pope, 34, of Midhurst Close, Ifield, pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen for analysis when he appeared at Crawley Magistrates’ Court on June 30.

A spokesman for Sussex Police said he was arrested after officers saw him driving the wrong way out of Brighton Marina on the inbound ramp at 3.45am on June 7.

Pope was banned from driving for 17 months, fined £120 and ordered to pay £235 costs and a £20 victim surcharge.
