Crawley man with limited mobililty’s stolen bike appeal

A Crawley man with limited mobility has appealed for help after his bike was stolen.

His £600 mountain bike was stolen from a garage in Wheeler Road, Maidenbower, betweeen 8pm on Saturday October 17 and 6am on Sunday October 18.

The man, who asked not to be named, said: “I have a back condition that does not allow me to sit in a car or walk for more than a few yards, however riding a bike is accepted.

“This mountain bike is very important to my well-being and helped me move around between my house and Three Bridges Station to catch my train for London.

“I am aware that some time has passed now, however this bike unusually looking and I strongly believe because of the location where it was stolen from there would be a very good chance that the culprit would have been caught on CCTV.”

Sussex Police has closed the investigation into the theft due to a lack of information and evidence.
