Elderly woman victim of Crawley distraction burglary

Police have appealed for witnesses to a distraction burglary in Northgate.

Sussex Police said an elderly female resident in Woodfield Road opened her door to a man at around 5pm on Friday March 21.

The man said he wanted to leave a note with her for her neighbour. Another male entered her home and searched upstairs while she was distracted. The man who came to the door was described as white, 6ft, wearing a grey hoodie, white cord trousers and white trainers. It is not yet known if anything was stolen. Call police on 101.
