Gatwick staff member ‘assaulted by flying newspaper’

A Gatwick Airport staff member was hit by a flying newspaper thrown by an upset traveller.

Sergeant Darren Taylor said a person threw the newspaper after becoming upset with a self service machine today (Monday October 12).

He tweeted: “Report coming in about staff member being assaulted at North terminal by flying newspaper.

“The suspect got upset with the self service machine and started throwing his items everywhere including the newspaper in question”
