Police are appealing for witnesses after a teenage boy was assaulted in Coney Close, Crawley, on Valentine’s Day.

The 14-year-old had been playing football with friends on a green area outside his house when he was assaulted on February 14 between 4.50pm and 5.05pm.

The boy sustained minor injuries.

A 41-year-old man from Langley Green, Crawley, was arrested on suspicion of assault. He was questioned and bailed until 14 March.

PC Jim Lee said: “We are looking for any witnesses who saw the incident to come forward.”
