A spate of burglaries in Ferring has prompted police to warn residents to be vigilant

A man has been arrested on suspicion of possession of cannabis and assaulting a police officer.

Local patrolling officers arrested the 18-year-old at the Worth Way pedestrian underpass, Balcombe Road, Worth, at 4.10pm today (August 26).

A spokesman for Sussex Police said officers were tracing two other men who ran from the scene.

A man who was driving in Balcombe Road saw five police cars and a van in attendance. He said the road had been closed.
