Thieves steal bins from Crawley council

Thieves have stolen six 1,100-litre refuse bins belonging to Crawley Borough Council in the past six months, all from the same road.

The latest theft, from a communal bin storage area in Dingle Close, West Green, happened on Saturday (March 29), when two of the large green bins were stolen.

Sussex Police said a man was seen in a white, high-top transit, parked in Ifield Road ,West Green, at around 9.40pm.

Two more men, believed to be aged 20-30, were seen pulling the bins down Dingle Close then loading them into the van, which then drove off.

The earlier thefts happened in September and November .
