Witness appeal after three car crash near Horley

Police have appealed for witnesses to a three-car crash which saw a woman taken to hospital.

A spokesman for Sussex Police said a blue Volkswagen Passat, black Peugeot 307 and a silver Mazda 2 were in collision in Balcombe Road, near Horley, at 5.05pm on Wednesday (August 26).

The driver of the Mazda, a 22-year-old woman from Horley, suffered shock and was taken to East Surrey Hospital, Redhill, with minor injuries.

The Peugeot driver, a 66-year-old Horley woman, suffered shock. The 28-year-old man driving the Volkswagen was unhurt.

The road was closed near the Jai Jo restaurant while the scene was being cleared.

Witnesses were asked to email collision.appeal@sussex.pnn.police.uk or phone 101, quoting serial 1074 of 26/08.
