A top Tory was ‘inspired’ after he visited a cricket club and a mosque in Crawley.

Sajid Javid, the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, visited Crawley Eagles Cricket Club and Langley Green Mosque on Monday (March 30).

Mr Javid said: “Touring the Eagles Cricket Club in Langley Green which has benefited from Government and English Cricket Board funding to expand local community cricket was inspiring.”

He was joined by Henry Smith, the Conservative’s Parliamentary Candidate for Crawley.

Mr Javid visited the mosque to discuss other community initiatives, Mr Smith said.
