Eight charged with drug offences after investigation

Eight people from Crawley have been charged with drug offences.

Seven men and a woman, who all live in the town, were charged following an investigation by the South East Regional Organised Crime Unit.

Police said Kane Wilson, 24, of Winchester Road, was charged with one count of possession of a controlled class A drug (cocaine) with intent to supply and one count of possession of a controlled class B drug (cannabis) with intent to supply.

Marlon Brown, 24, of Northmead, Northgate, was charged with one count of possession of a controlled class B drug (cannabis) with intent to supply, one count of acquired used or had possession of criminal property, two counts of possession of a controlled class A drug (cocaine) with intent to supply and one count of possession of a controlled class B drug (cannabis) with intent to supply.

Vikesh Patel, 24, of Waldby Court, Neville Close, was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled class B drug (cannabis) with intent to supply, two counts of possession of a controlled class A drug (cocaine) with intent to supply and one count of conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.

Imran Malik, 34, of Gibson Place, was charged with one count of conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.

Jan Lee, 24, of Martyrs Avenue, Langley Green, was charged with one count of possession of a controlled class A drug (cocaine) with intent to supply, one count of possession of a controlled of class B drug (cannabis) with intent to supply, one count of acquire, use or possession of criminal property and one count of conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.

Mohammed Khan, 28, of Atkinson Road, was charged with one count of conspiracy to pervert the course of justice and one count of possession of a firearm.

Nandan Chelliah-Saravana, 41, of Penine Close, was charged with possession of a firearm.

Molly Burnett, 19, of Gibson Place, was charged with one count of acquire, use or possession of criminal property and one count of conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.

Carl Knight, 33, of The Stow, Harlow; Lee Hall, 35, and Michael Hall, 56, of Buttermere Close, London were also charged with one count of conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.

All 11 were bailed to appear at Lewes Crown Court on December 23.
