Emergency refurbishment work on A23 junction completed

A major traffic signal junction upgrade in Crawley has been completed.

The replacement of the traffic signals at the junction of A23 Crawley Avenue and Gossops Drive has introduced a number of updated features, including a new control system, which lets the signals react quicker to changes in traffic.

The pedestrian crossings have been upgraded to ‘puffin’ style crossings and all the traffic signals use the latest energy saving LED technology to cut energy consumption.

West Sussex County Council would like to thank the local residents and motorists for their patience whilst the works were untaken and apologise for any inconvenience caused.
