Evans: "We don't fear Torquay'

CRAWLEY Town manager Steve Evans cannot wait to put his new side to the test against one of the best teams in the Blue Square Premier, Torquay.

They are the first of two tough opponents over the Bank Holiday weekend,

starting at the Broadfield Stadium on Saturday.

Reds then make the short trip to Stevenage Borough on Monday to take on another highly-tipped club.

Evans watched Torquay lose 2-0 to Ebbsfleet live on TV on Monday night and insisted they have 'nothing to fear'.

He revealed: "I feared Torquay last year but they are weaker this year and we are much stronger.

"I would like to think we can win if we play as we can do and I think we can beat Stevenage as well.

"We have to play with the right energy levels."
