Crawley Town's expected new manager Harry Kewell played in a friendly match for a FIFA legends team against former players from the Russian national team in St Petersburg yesterday (Sunday).

The Australian former Liverpool and Leeds United star played alongside former Brazilian former FIFA World Player of the Year Ronaldinho, French World Cup winner Marcel Desailly, Jay-Jay Okocha, Pablo Aimar, and Vitor Baia.

The event was a curtain-raiser to this year's Confederations Cup, which will be held in Russia, starting on June 17 to July 2.

The six-a-side match drew a large crowd and ended in a 9-9 draw with Ronaldinho scoring a hat-trick and Nigeria's Okocha scored four goals.

However Russia won in a penalty shoot-out.

It is believed Champions League winner Kewell will be announced this week as Crawley Town's new manager.
