Family fun for Forge Wood’s first residents

The developers behind the Crawley’s newest neighbourhood has thrown a barbecue and fun day for its first residents.

Taylor Wimpey is helping to foster community spirit at its Forge Wood development Crawley by holding ‘Meet Your Neighbour’ event at the development.

Residents enjoyed a barbecue, while children were entertained by balloon modelling and a mini magic show.

Will Phair, sales manager for Taylor Wimpey South Thames, said: “The aim of the event was for all the residents to come along to get to know one another in a relaxed and sociable environment and it was great to see so many people there.”

We’re delighted that there’s already a wonderful community spirit emerging within this sought-after new neighbourhood, which we can see is set to go from strength to strength.”

Crawley being delivered by a consortium of Taylor Wimpey, Persimmon Homes, Crawley Borough Council and the Homes and Communities Agency.

When complete it will have 1,900 homes, a primary school, community centre, office and industrial space, retail space and parkland.
