Father Christmas to visit Crawley community club

A forest of Christmas trees and a visit from Santa will help visitors to one Crawley club find their festive spirit while raising money for community causes.

The Maidenbower Park Community Club (MPCC) will be opening their grotto at Maidenbower Pavilion, Maidenbower Drive, at 5pm on Friday (December 19).

Father Christmas will be ably assisted by his elves – Grace Pickin, Sky Piper and Ruby Oldridge – and Stepney’s Cafe will be on hand to provide hot dogs and burgers.

A visit to see Father Christmas plus a present, hot food, a disco and arts & crafts, will be free for children under two years of age.

For older children the cost will be £7.50.

MPCC manger Michelle Souter said all money raised, after expenses, would be put back into community causes such as half-term activities for the children and events for Age UK.
