Firefighters put out blaze in Tilgate Forest, Crawley


Firefighters put out a fire that spread over 30 square metres in Tilgate Forest.

A spokesman for West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said two crews were called to the scene near Parish Lane, Tilgate, at 3.06pm yesterday (Thursday July 3).

The fire burnt 30 square metres of undergrowth.

Firefighters used a hose reel to cool hot spots and left at 3.58pm.
