Free schools public debate

People are invited to join a panel discussion over free schools and academies.

Members of the National Union of Teachers and Crawley MP Henry Smith will answer questions surrounding the schools.

Up for discussion are issues over the schools’ management, accountability and the cost of setting them up.

The debate will be chaired by Ann Seuret, president of the West Sussex Teachers Association.

On the panel will be Kevin Courtney, NUT deputy general secretary, Jackie Baker, NUT executive member elect, Bridget Chapman, chair of Anti Academies Alliance and Henry Smith MP.

The meeting will be held at 7.30pm on Thursday (February 13)at the Arora Hotel, Southgate Avenue, RH10 6LW.
