Police are hunting a gang of vandals after a spate of car tyre slashing.

Officers have appealed for witnesses after nine parked cars were reported damaged to police in Bewbush between April 24 and 28.

Two incidents happened in Stevenage Road overnight on April 25 and 28, one in Filey Close/Ellman Road overnight on April 28, three in Cheynell Walk, overnight on April 27 and three in Henshaw Close on April 28.

A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “In some cases it is not clear how the damage was caused but the tyres were deflated.

“The incidents are clearly linked but are believed to be random attacks. The cars are not believed to have been selected for any specific reason.
