GB RECORD SMASHED BY MARTIN

MAGNIFICENT Ina Martin has smashed her own British shot put record with a huge throw to win the Healthcare National Wheelchair Championships.

She recorded a massive 6.74m to beat the 6.67m previous best she set in Canberra, Australia at an international meeting in April.

Ina, from Pound Hill, became GB champion for the EIGHTH time she demolished the rest of the field at the championships at Stoke Mandeville in Buckinghamshire.

This weekend she flies out to Germany to represent Great Britain at the German International Open in Stuttgart.
