Chris Coleman’s side had a couple of good chances to score but could not deliver a goal in the game which was played out in front of more than 30,000 fans.

The under-21 international was called up into the senior squad on Tuesday after scoring the winning goal for the Reds to beat Luton Town 1-0 in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.

This followed the selection of his Crawley team-mate Joe Walsh the day before.

John Gregory described it as ‘Both good and bad news’ - good as it meant they both got to enjoy the wonderful experience of training with the full Welsh squad including Real Madrid star Gareth Bale.

Bad because their international involvement means they will both miss today’s (Saturday’s) game against Peterborough at the Checkatrade.com Stadium.

They will both remain with the squad and could be involved in Monday’s home game against Cyprus.
