Yesterday’s eviction on I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! was cancelled due to Lady Colin Campbell’s shock departure from the jungle.

Yesterday morning, ITV released a statement that Lady Colin had left the show on ‘medical grounds’.

Owner of Castle Goring in Worthing, Lady Colin will not be forgotten as the mother figure of this year’s camp and a woman who did not shy away from a bit of jungle drama.

Last week, she refused to take part in a Bushtucker Trial, despite being voted to do so by the public.

But Lady Colin proved herself to be a bit of a flirt with I’m a Celeb hosts Ant and Dec as they tried to persuade her to take on the creepy crawly challenge.

She said: “I am not doing it, it’s as simple as that. You are all on a diet.”

Alas, her camp mates were left to eat basic rations that day.

However, the Royal biographer was not afraid to get her hands dirty on previous trials. The 66-years-old used a knife and fork to eat bugs in the form of a gut-wrenching omelette.

Another gruesome dish was spaghetti bolognese with beach worms and turkey testicles.

Although she locked horns with a number of contestants, Lady Colin struck up an unlikely friendship with former professional footballer Kieron Dyer.

A spokesman for ITV said: “As a result of her departure, the latest viewer vote has been cancelled.

“If you voted via a paid for route, since last night’s show, you can get a full refund. Please check back here later today, Wednesday, December 2, for more information.”
