£17k funding for good causes

County councillors are preparing to allocate £17,200 worth of funding for good causes. The East Crawley County Local Committee will decide which projects to award the money to at a meeting on Thursday (March 14). The money comes from the West Sussex County Council’s Community Initiative Fund.

Chairman Cllr Richard Burrett (Con, Pound Hill and Worth) said: “If any organisation needs support for a new scheme, I would urge them to apply for a grant now as we will soon be considering new applications for the next financial year.”

Members will also make a decide on the proposed traffic calming scheme for Grattons Drive, Pound Hill.

The meeting starts at 7pm in The Longley Room, Crawley Library.
