Air ambulance called to injured child

Emergency services have been called to Ifield following reports that a child has been injured in a collision with a car.

The Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance has also been scrambled and landed nearby.

The child is believed to be a young boy.

A spokesman for the South East Coast Ambulance Service said: “We received a call at 3.30pm today (Friday January 24) for near the shops in Ifield Drive.

“The extent of the child’s injuries are not known.”
