A man plans to complete two marathons in a week in memory of his nan.
Andy Apostolakis, 25, from Banks Road, Poundhill, has been running marathons for charity every since his nan died six years ago.
Each time Andy runs, he raises money for a different charity that his nan liked.
So far he has raised £4,000 for St Catherine’s Hospice and Alzheimer’s Society.
Andy said: “I remember when she would look after me. I remember what she liked and what she would say.
“We would go into town and she would speak to the people in the St Catherine’s shops and tell me what a wonderful job they do.
“Some of her friends went to the hospice and her next door neighbour was looked after by Age UK.
“I think she’d be proud I’m raising money for them.”
Andy hopes to raise at least £1,850 for Age UK by running the Brighton Marathon on April 14 and the London Marathon on April 21, totting up 52.4 miles in one week.
