Surrey Police is appealing for help to trace a missing teenage girl from Horley.

Roisin Monahan, 15, (pictured) who is also known as Rosie, was last seen in Balcombe Road at around noon on Monday (December 9).

She failed to return home after school and has not been in contact with family or friends since.

Rosie is described as white, 5ft 6ins tall and of slim build. She wears glasses and has long dark hair which is partly dyed purple.

She was last seen wearing her school uniform and a green coloured Parker jacket and was carrying a black leather shoulder bag but may have changed into different clothing.

She has connections in Reigate and Redhill and Surrey Police officers are carrying out searches in both areas as part of on-going enquiries to find Rosie and ensure that she is safe and well.

Police are also liaising closely with colleagues in Sussex Police and British Transport Police as Rosie has friends in Crawley and may have caught a train from Horley to visit them.

Officers are also in the process of carrying out house to house enquiries and are reviewing local CCTV footage.

Anyone with any information on Rosie or with any details of her current whereabouts should call Surrey Police on 101, quoting incident reference P13375729.
