Arrests following vehicle break-ins

POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a spate of vehicle break-ins on Wednesday night (September 12).

The break-ins all took place in the Gossops Green area, with the first report from Filbert Crescent at 11.58pm.

A number of other calls were received on Thursday morning when owners discovered that their cars had been tampered with.

It is thought that the offences occurred between 10.30pm and 8am. Officers have made a number of arrests.

Anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area is asked to call Sussex Police on 101 quoting serial 1919 of 12/09 or contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
