Arson at Old Robert May School

Four fire crews tackled a blaze at a derelict building in Furnace Green at 5.45am this morning (Friday 26).

Damage to the Furnace Drive property, previously known as Robert May School, was restrained to just one per cent.

Crawley Fire has confirmed this was a deliberate ignition.

This was the third arson attack on the former North East Area Professional Centre - on June 7 an attack caused 50 per cent damage.

Two engines were called from Crawley, one from East Grinstead and one from Turners Hill and were finished just before 7am.

A fire investigation is taking place.
