Auditions for Operatic Society musical at Hawth

THE Crawley Operatic Society is on the look out for actors, singers and dancers to take part in its latest musical theatre production.

COS Musical Theatre will be holding an audition for its next production of Thoroughly Modern Millie which will take place between October 24 and 27 at The Hawth.

The story is set in New York in 1922 and tells the story of young Millie Dillmount who moved to the city in search of a new life.

The character flaps, taps and Charleston’s her way through the Roaring 1920s and set her sights on marrying her wealthy boss.

Charlotte Cosh, membership secretary of COS Musical Theatre, said: “It is a friendly society always ready to welcome new members, especially those of the male variety, who can sing, dance, or simply have a love for the theatre.”

Auditions will take place at Broadfield Community Centre on Sunday May 27 at 5pm.
