Ball honours boy’s dream

A little boy with a life threatening illness will soon get his dream holiday to Disney after a ball in his honour raised more than £2,000 on Saturday night (October 6).

Two-year-old Noah Elkington, from Ifield, has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, an aggressive muscle wasting disease which significantly shortens life span.

Sally Austin, from Southwater, read of Noah’s story in The Observer in April and has been fund raising ever since, most recently with the ball at Cottesmore Golf and County Club, Pease Pottage,.

“I would like to thank everyone who attended,” Sally said. “This little boys dream will come true with their help and generosity.”

Guests and donators included: Alexandra House Hotel, Copthorne Hotel, Cottesmore Golf and Country Club, Horsham Car Centre, Horsham Nail Bar, Tesco, Unilever Foods Leatherhead, Virgin Atlantic Airways, Builders Express, Head High Leatherhead, S.A Property Services, Austin Powell Ltd, The Javelin Partnership Printers and Sodexo catering.

To donate call Sally on 01403 734084 or 0845 194 7196.
