Bike man’s indecent act to teens at bus stop

A cyclist carried out an indecent act in front of two young women at a bus-stop.

The two 19-year-old women were distressed and upset after the man carried out the act in front of them for several moments, police said.

The two women were at the bus stop opposite the Thales Building in Manor Royal, Crawley, At about 8.30am on Sunday (March 3) when the man cycled along the pavement from Manor Royal towards the junction with London Road.

The women ran off and the man cycled towards them but then turned right at the junction of London Road and left down Martyrs Avenue.

Ellie Young of the Crawley police Response Investigation Team said: “This was a very frightening experience for the women and they are really upset by it. If anyone else saw what happened, or saw this man in the area, or knows who he is, we ask them to contact us via 101 quoting serial 0341 of 3/3. You can also call independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Police searched the area but did not find him.

He is described as of Asian appearance, in his early 30s, 5ft 8in, with short black hair, clean shaven, and round facial features.

He was wearing a grey puffa type jacket with either a red stitching or lining, blue jeans and brown boots.

He was on a standard black or dark coloured bike.
