Boy arrested after burglary in Langley Green

A teenage boy was arrested on Tuesday (October 30) after a burglary at a home in Langley Green.

Police were called to the house in Fox Close, at around 1.50am, after the occupier heard the burglar alarm activate.

Officers said rear patio doors had been smashed but nothing had been taken from the house.

A police dog followed a scent to a house in a nearby road where a 14-year old boy was arrested on suspicion of burglary.

Detective Constable, Simon Goulding, said; “We would like to hear from anyone who was out and about in the Langley Green area in the early hours of Tuesday and who saw anything suspicious.

“If you can help please call us on 101 quoting Serial 0075 of 30/10. You can also call independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”

The boy was released on police bail until January 13.
