SHADOW minister Caroline Flint was in Tilgate Park this afternoon to help launch the Crawley Labour Group’s council election bid.

The Party will contest 11 borough council seats and hope the candidacy of two former mayors will make for a strong line-up.

The opposition group will fight the election on five key issues: more residential parking, stopping the privatisation of council facilities, getting the economy moving, more affordable housing, and better care of the town.

Caroline Flint, MP for Don Valley and shadow minister for energy and climate change, said: “I think the issues raised by my colleagues in the Labour Party around parking and antisocial behaviour and revitalising the town centre are vitally important.”
