Charity shares £13k winter weather grant

A THREE BRIDGES charity is giving 233 people a one-off £50 payment to support them through the cold weather.

It is the third year running the Printing Charity has given financial support to people on low incomes.

The charity supports people who work or have worked in the UK printing, publishing, graphic arts and allied trades for a minimum of five years, as well as their dependent family members.

Chief Executive Stephen Gilbert said: “Soaring energy bills are causing fuel poverty, forcing many on low incomes to have to decide between eating and heating. This is one way we can help our grantees maintain their independence and dignity. The one-off payment can be used to pay any bills, including food and heating.”
