Committee to make decision on taxi ranks

CRAWLEY Borough Council’s licensing committee will consider objections to three new taxi ranks in the town centre and make a final decision.

In June, members approved 10 temporary spaces at Sussex House on the High Street due to plans to develop the site, five spaces by Lloyds TSB on The Boulevard and four spaces on Queensway.

Plans went to public consultation until July 19 and two objections were received relating to the proposed rank on The Boulevard.

The licensing committee will consider the objections and either approve the appointment of the taxi ranks or amend the decision today (Wednesday September 5) at the town hall at 7.30pm.
