Copthorne mechanic '˜crashed while three times over the limit'

A 62-year-old Copthorne man has been charged with failing to stop after a crash and drink-driving while three times over the limit.

A police spokesman said Stephen Budd, a mechanic, of The Gables, was arrested in Copthorne Bank on June 14.

He was accused of having 105mg of alcohol per 100ml of breath and failing to stop after a road traffic collision.

Budd is due to appear at Crawley Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (June 30).
