Couple injured as car overturns

An elderly couple were taken to hospital following an accident on Gatwick Road yesterday evening (Tuesday March 12).

Firefighters and paramedics were called to the Oakwood Industrial Park at around 6pm after the couple’s car overturned following a collision with a tree.

The woman had been freed from the car by the time firefighters arrived and crews from Crawley and Horley stabilised the car and used hydraulic equipment to free the man from the vehicle.
