A Level students at St Wilfrid’s School, Crawley, left their new headteacher “delighted” with their results.
The students achieved a pass rate of 99 per cent at A2 Level and 96 per cent at AS Level.
Headteacher Michael Ferrysaid: “We are delighted with an excellent set of results at both AS and A2, and despite national predictions that results would drop this year, both sets of results have improved significantly from 2013.
“This continued rise in standards, particularly the rise in numbers of students receiving higher grade passes (A*-C), is testament to the hard work of both students and staff, as well as the continued support from parents.
“Once again, the results show that students at St Wilfrid’s have made outstanding progress, not just in the Sixth Form, but since they started in Year 7.”
Among the stand-out performances at A2 Level were:
George Rodrigues – 3 x A* in Biology, Maths and Economics
Eric Van Der Merwe – 2 x A* in Chemistry & Maths; 1 x A in Physics
Laura Hennessy – 1 x A* in Maths; 2 x A in Chemistry & Biology
Kirsty Smith – 3 x A in Photography, Art and Media Studies.
