Dozens of pensioners sat down to a fish and chips lunch thanks to the generosity of the Crawley Lions.

More than 50 members of AgeUK, in Shackleton Road, Tilgate, were treated to the slap-up meal on Sunday (May 11).

The meal was cooked by Kim Edwards of Kim’s Kitchen, in Three Bridges Road, and was followed by wine, dessert and tea and coffee.

To make the day complete, Lions president Graham Mahy presented Tracy Olckers, day service manager at Age UK Crawley, with a cheque for £1,000 towards a new mini bus.
