Crawley man arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving after three-car crash

Police investigating a three car crash on the A29 near Slindon yesterday (Thursday January 23) have arrested a man from Crawley.

The incident occurred shortly after 9.30am and led to the A29 being closed to traffic for several hours while emergency services were at the scene.

A 33-year-old man from Crawley, who was driving a Ford Mondeo, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of dangerous driving and is assisting police with enquiries.

A woman, 48, driving a Nissan, from Pulborough, was taken to Southampton Hospital with serious injuries to her neck, ribs and pelvis.

A male BMW driver, 24, from Bognor Regis, was taken to St Richard’s Hospital, Chichester, with wrist and rib injuries.
