Ifield Community College has been told it has made required improvements.
Ofsted conducted its first monitoring inspection at the college since it was graded ‘requires improvement’ in January.
The monitoring inspection report stated that apt and timely changes had been made to the way teachers monitor and penalise students who disrupt lessons.
It added teachers had learnt to more effectively use the student tracking system to monitor students’ progress.
Richard Cowper, acting headteacher, said: “We are all very determined to ensure that we use this report as the start of a path to an outstanding school in the future.
“We always strive for the best for all our students and the improvements in our practice that we are putting into place will set us on that path.”
