Crawley schools announce strike closures

Several schools have announced they will be fully or partially close during industrial action.

Members of the National Union of Teachers will go on strike tomorrow (Wednesday March 26) over concerns about pay and their workload as well as the number of new teachers leaving the profession in the first five years.

The Crawley schools affected are:

Northgate Primary School will be partially closed. Plum class, along with Apple, Lime, Maple, Blackthorn and Rowan classes will be closed. All other classes will be open.

Gossops Green Community Primary School will be partially closed. One class in Key stage 1 and three classes in Key stage 2 will be closed. Parents have all had letters confirming which classes are affected.

Holy Trinity CofE Secondary School, in Gossops Green, will be partially closed. Only Years 10, 11, 12 and 13 will be open.

Oriel High School, in Maidenbower, will be closed.

Turners Hill CofE Primary School will be partially closed. Mapple Class, Cherry Class and Holly Class will be closed. All other classes will be open as normal.
