Leacroft Medical Practice will be moving to the town centre while repair work is carried out on its storm-battered premises.

The roof of the surgery, in Langley Drive, Langley Green, was badly damaged in high winds on December 23.

It will be several months before the building is fit for use again.

The practice hopes to move to Cross Keys House, home of the Crawley Health Centre, in Haslett Avenue West, by the beginning of March.

GP Dr Haidar Saad said: “We will be working from there for few months till Leacroft building is done.

“Half of the first floor is occupied by the Health 4 Crawley. We will be moving to the other half.

“We will be using the same mobile number for a few days and then hopefully go back to the old surgery number.

“We still don’t know how long we will operate from Cross Keys.

“We have written to the landlords to get a conformation of the exact period.”

Leacroft has been operating out of the Urgent Treatment Centre, at Crawley Hospital, and Southgate Medical Practice.

Dr Saad thanked the staff at both sites for their support, as well as councillors, the media and MP Henry Smith.

Patients can contact Leacroft via 07955 201847 between 8am and 6.30pm, Monday to Friday.
