Police and firefighters gave students a demonstration of what it is like to be cut out of a car following an accident.

The teams visited Central Sussex College as part of their National Road Safety campaign. Firefighter Lee Burridge led the demonstration which saw two students cut out of the car. Twinkal Limbachia, 17, Crawley, said: “It was really shocking to watch, I didn’t realise what could happen if you got trapped under the steering wheel and I had no idea it can take that long to get someone out of a crashed car.”
