A wildlife charity named a one-eyed hedgehog Barstool after one of his legs was amputated.
A woman contacted Care for the Wild after she found Barstool limping in her garden in Northgate.
Vets amputated the critter’s broken leg and removed a loose tooth.
Tarnya Knight, wildlife carer for the Horsham-based charity, said: “He won’t be able to go back into the wild because of his disabilities, so now he’s with me until we can find a good home for him to go to.
“He could have been caught in garden netting, and wrenched his leg trying to escape.
“The poor little thing has obviously been in the wars, so maybe we should have called him Lucky.”
