A Crawley woman who is due to attend a funeral in South Africa has appealed for the return of her passport after it fell from her pocket.

Caroline Maxwell, of Hambleton Court, Southgate, had her passport, £615 cash and documents in her back pocket when she left for work at 6.45am today (Wednesday February 26).

She thinks she may have lost them before she entered her car.

She said: “I am very distressed and anxious regarding my passport as I am due to attend a funeral in South Africa in a week’s time.

“As you can imagine, it takes weeks or months to process and replace another passport.”

If anyone finds Caroline’s property, it can be handed in at Crawley Police Station, on the corner of Northgate Avenue and Woodfield Road.

The police incident number is WCRL/14/02/01640.
