Crawley sea cadets cash boost

CRAWLEY Sea Cadets will be given a boost thanks to a cash donation from Sussex Police.

Inspector Zahid Khan, from Crawley Neighbourhood Policing Team, will be presenting the Sea Cadets with a cheque for 750 on Thursday 2 September.

Inspector Khan said: "I am very pleased to be presenting this cheque for 750 to the Sea Cadets to help with the excellent work they are carrying out with young people in the area.

"This is a perfect example of how Sussex Police is distributing and reinvesting money from the Police Property Act Fund back into the community where it can be used to enhance and improve community structures."

The money will be used by the Crawley Sea Cadets to help pay for running costs.

The money is being donated from the Police Property Act Fund which is made up of money received by the police from property confiscated by order of court and then sold.
