Dancers perform at Royal Albert Hall Olympic celebration event

YOUNG dancers have performed in front of thousands of people at The Royal Albert Hall to celebrate the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Fi Steps, which has studios in Crawley and Horsham, was asked to perform at the event by producers Mardi Gras.

The team of students aged six upwards had an intense two weeks of rehearsals before they took their routines to the stage.

The costumes and make-up was by principal Fiona Whyte who showed the events patriotic theme.

She said: “That night was what dreams are made of – it was one of the best days of my life.”

The group have performed with Mardi Gras since June 1998 at venues such as Her Majesty’s and Sadlers Wells theatres in London, Disneyland Paris and Portaventura.
