Deer trapped in fence in village field

Firefighters helped rescue a deer after it became stuck in a fence in a village field.

Crews were called by the RSPCA to help free the animal from a field off Lindfield Road, in Ardingly, at around 11.20am.

A spokesman for the fire service said the deer had become trapped in a fence and a bramble bush.

It was released using animal rescue equipment.
