A teacher is no longer working at Ifield Community College after ‘unacceptable’ comments were made on a social media site.

Richard Cowper, acting principal at Ifield Community College, said the school had taken immediate disciplinary action after complaints were made about a teacher’s twitter posts about pupils.

He said: “We feel the twitter comments are totally unacceptable and bring the College and the teaching profession into disrepute.

“As a result we have taken full and immediate disciplinary action. I can confirm that the teacher is no longer working at Ifield Community College.”
