Crawley Borough Council has given permission for a martial arts dojo to set up shop at a business centre.
At a meeting of the development control committee on Monday (October 14), members approved planning permission to change Unit 15 at Pelham Court Business Centre, Broadfield, from a storage unit to a community dojo.
Business owners who already use the centre expressed concerns about the safety of children who may use the dojo given the lack of pathways in the business centre.
There were also worries about the security of the area.
Applicant Jacey Cashman has three years to get work on the dojo under way.
